Thank you for considering me as your photographer! I'm Kari, and I'm a professional photographer serving the Twin Cities metro area and western Wisconsin. I use primarily natural light to create a custom portrait that documents not just what you look like, but also the person you really are at this amazing time in your life.

Senior portraits are like a "coming of age" photo shoot. You'll probably never have photographs taken of you that are ALL about you ever again, so now's the time to show off the real you and have a great time doing it!

My goal is to create a portrait that shows your best side, as well as represents you for who you are. By combining a fabulous location, good lighting, my eye for flattering positions/angles, and your wonderful self, I promise to provide you with a variety of portraits of yourself that you absolutely love!

When creating a portrait, I like to keep it simple and focus on you, keeping props and busy backdrops to a minimum. However, if you have something important to you that you'd like to incorporate into your pictures, please bring them! They may give you portraits just the right touch and show off your personality and interests.

I typically only schedule one - two sessions per day. This gives me the time and patience to focus on you and only you, not on the clock or the next appointment. There will be plenty of time for clothing changes, hair fixes, etc. Basic sessions generally last 1-3 hours, longer for multiple locations.

Portraits may be created in my home studio in Cottage Grove, MN or on location, whether it be in your home, a local park, downtown, another place of your choice. Each session is custom created for you. No two sessions are alike. Please make sure that you schedule your appointment at a day and time when you are comfortable and relaxed.

When you schedule your appointment, either by phone or email, we'll discuss your ideas and decide on a location.

Because I only schedule one session per day, the session payment is due when scheduling in order to reserve the date. The session fee is non refundable, but can be transferred to another date if you need to reschedule. 24 hours advance notice must be given when rescheduling.

I will meet you at the chosen location and spend 1 to 3 hours or more with you, capturing a variety of images, both color and black and white. Clothing changes and different groupings of people (family, group of friends, etc) are included at no extra charge. (additional charges apply if more than one family is being photographed).

A few days after your session your portraits will be available to view in a private online gallery. This will be available for you to use for 7 days. You can then view your portraits in the privacy of your home and invite your friends and family to view them as well.

When you are ready to place your order, give me a call or email with the collection you want, images, sizes and preferences. When your prints are ready, you will receive an email or a phone call letting you know that your prints are ready and to arrange a time for pickup or delivery. You can also have your portraits mailed to you. I look forward to working with you!

 

Custom portraits are an investment. Each portrait is created with the finest attention to detail. Your images are printed on only the highest quality materials and are guaranteed to withstand the test of time.

Your total portrait investment includes your creation fee and your final print package.

The creation fee* for a single location photo shoot is $150. You can choose two locations for $200, or up to four locations for $250. There are no time limits or limits on clothing changes. An average senior session at one location lasts 1 - 3 hours.

*Creation fee covers photographer's time, talent, travel, minor digital retouching and your private online gallery. Creation fee does not include prints. See investment section for print prices. There is no minimum order requirement, but most clients typically invest a total of $550 - $2000 in their custom portraits, including your session fee and print collection.
