Terms and Conditions

Session fees: Your session fee covers the photographer's time and talent, and access to your online gallery.  The session fee does not include digital images or print unless stated otherwise.  These items are purchased separately after viewing your images from the session.

COPYRIGHTS: The photographs produced by Kari Layland Photography are protected by Federal Copyright Law (all rights reserved) and may not be reproduced in any manner without Kari Layland Photography's explicitly written permission. (Written permission to print is included with collections that include digital image files.)

COMPLETION SCHEDULE: Online galleries are available 1-3 weeks after the session. Digital and final print orders take approximately 2-4 weeks.

Cancelation Policy: Session fees are non refundable.  Pre paid ordering credits are refundable should the session be canceled for any reason.  Sessions may be rescheduled due to weather or illness.  When possible, please give at least 24 hours notice upon rescheduling.  Sessions may be rescheduled no more than once due to preventable reasons, although I understand that we cannot control weather, illness and other emergencies and so further rescheduling may occur due to these reasons. 

LIMIT OF LIABILITY: In the unlikely event that the photographer is injured or becomes too ill to photograph the session, Kari Layland Photography will make every effort to reschedule to a day and time for you, or if necessary, secure a replacement photographer. Kari Layland Photography takes the utmost care with respect to exposure, transportation, and processing the photographs. However, in the unlikely event that photographs have been lost, stolen, or destroyed for reasons within or beyond Kari Layland Photography's control, Kari Layland Photography liability is limited to a reshoot, or return of all payments received for the session to date. The limit of liability for a partial loss of originals shall be a prorated amount of the exposures lost based on the percentage of total number of originals.  Kari Layland Photography takes utmost care to the safety of her clients, however she is not responsible for injuries or damages due to reckless behavior of the client, or acts of nature when photographing outdoors. 

PAYMENT SCHEDULE: The session fee paid today is your retainer required to reserve your session date.  Your session is not reserved until your session fee is paid.  After viewing your images via online gallery or in person, additional costs may occur based on your final order.  MN sales tax of 7.125% is to be added to the package total.
