Newborn Posing Workshop - May 20th 2012 - Minneapolis/St Paul metro, Minnesota

10am - 5pm

This newborn focused workshop is designed for those who've already taken my General Portrait Photography class, or who have a general understanding of photography settings and how to use your camera effectively in manual mode and RAW.  For those who are interested in learning how to create those beautiful newborn photographs you may have seen published.  I'll show you how to sooth and safely pose a newborn in a way that looks comfortable, peaceful, and adorable.  I hope you'll find my classes to be a valuable asset to your photography, as an affordable alternative to many newborn photography workshops with registration fees well over $2000. 

Class Overview:

10am - meet and greet, portfolio review

11am - Setup and lighting review - brief lunch break

12pm - Experience a full newborn session with 2 or more babies using natural light, as well as studio lighting.  I'll demonstrate soothing techniques and how to create a variety of poses with newborn models.  Students will have the opportunity to photograph the babies.

3:30pm - Photoshop processing, and Q&A

You will need:
- A DSLR camera
- Lots of patience.

Highly recommended but NOT required:

• A form of Photoshop with RAW editing capability
• A lens with the ability to shoot at f/2.8 or lower. (a 50mm 1.8 prime lens is a very inexpensive option if you need a lens)
• 5-10 prints or digital images (digital preferred) for review

Because of space, and the need for one on one attention, each class is limited to 10 people.

Register only if you know you'll make it.
Due to the limited number of openings, refunds will not be available if you aren't able to attend.

Newborn Posing Workshop is only $350 per person until March 1, 2012!  After that registration goes up to $400 if there are any spots left.
