I'm currently offering newborn photography mentoring on a one on one basis only. No future group workshops are currently scheduled.

This will be an amazing experience and a great opportunity to improve your skills in newborn soothing, posing and lighting.
This newborn focused workshop is designed for those who are interested in learning how to create beautiful newborn photography. I'll show you how to soothe and safely pose a newborn in a way that looks comfortable, peaceful, and adorable.
Class Overview:
Portfolio review and discussion, setup and lighting review
Experience a full newborn session with 2 babies using natural and studio light. I'll demonstrate soothing techniques and how to create a variety of poses with newborn models. Students will have the opportunity to photograph each setup.
Review images, post processing with Photoshop, and Q&A
This class lasts 6-8 hours.
You will need:
- A DSLR camera
- Lots of patience.
Highly recommended but NOT required:
- A form of Photoshop with RAW editing capability
- A lens with the ability to shoot at f/2.8 or lower. (a 50mm 1.8 prime lens is a very inexpensive option if you need a lens)
- 5-10 prints or digital images that you've taken (digital preferred) for review
Because of the need for one on one attention, this class is limited to one to two people. Newborn models will be arranged by Kari and unrelated to class attendees.
Registration for this one on one class is $1200.
